Local investors showed interest today with thin volumes which resulted in a green end to the week. Interest could be witnessed in
COMB.X and COMB.N while the share prices closed at LKR 80 and LKR 102.20 gaining 1.78% and 1.59% respectively. One crossing was recorded pertaining to ASCO at a premium of 3% to the market price. Price appreciation of COMB helped ASPI gain by 3.06 points while HAYL and HNB contributed 2.94 and 2.90 points respectively.
•Bank, Finance and Insurance sector contributed mostly to the market turnover and the index gained 0.77%.
• Investment Trusts sector also contributed to the market turnover (due to ASCO) while the index gained 0.52%.
